Miami: Cote an Experience You Can’t Miss
COTE is a beautifully designed Korean steakhouse in the Miami Design District. This is the second location for the restaurant -their original one has a Michelin star and its located in New York- and it just opened in 2021. COTE’s main menu, and what they are famous for, include 45-day, dry-aged beef, an array of nutrient rich sides, and their Steak Omakase. The restaurant has an impressive wine list of over 1,200 carefully curated wines and a good variety of cocktails.
The whole experience is great from the start. As soon as you go in the restaurant, you are met with incredibly chic and modern aesthetics. Their customer service is outstanding and their staff is very knowledgable. Inside the restaurant there are several tables and each one is designed to provide an intimate experience. The tables have a smokeless grill in the center, used to cook four carefully selected cuts of meat. What makes COTE different from many other Korean steakhouses is that you don’t cook the meat yourself, the staff cooks it to perfection right infront of you.
When we went there, we started with East and West Coast oysters, they were super high quality and fresh. We also had their famous steak and eggs, it did not disappoint!
After that, we got the Butcher’s Feast and the quality of each cut was out of this world, tender and tasty. With the Butcher’s Feast came all the sides: Scallion salad -my favorite-, pickled seasonal veggies, kimchi, okra, mushrooms, egg soufflé -I didn’t love this one, but my friends did-, and two types of rice.
At the end of the feast, the best ice cream I’ve had in a restaurant came out, it was one of the highlights of the night. It was a simple vanilla soft served, but it was topped with sweet soy caramel sauce that made it extra scrumptious.
Overall, I really enjoyed COTE Miami and I can’t wait to try the New York one as well. Have you been yet?
