Florida Staycation
Living in Florida has a bunch of perks, one of them is that there are many places to pick for a staycation. I usually travel for the Summer out of the country, but this year I have so much going on that I am only taking breaks within the state. There are so many incredible places to explore, from Miami to the panhandle, here are some of the best places to see in Florida this summer.
This beautiful natural park, with crystal-clear spring water, is located in North-Central Florida. It is a great spot to go scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, tubing down Santa Fe river, and kayaking. The park grounds also has availability for camping, making it a popular destinations for nature lovers. The park is open year round and guests need to be 18 years or older or go with a parent/legal guardian.
Located in northwest Florida, Destin houses some of the most stunning beaches I’ve seen. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy emerald green waters contrasted with white quartz sands. Destin is a great destination to get away with your friends and go for a weekend of relaxation, shopping, and dinning. Even though it is also an amazing destination to be more active and do some water sports, fishing, and enjoy a water park.
St. Pete is only an hour to 2 hours away from Southwest Florida. This is a beach destination with a passion for art. In St. Pete you can find the world renowned Dalí museum, the immersive art exhibit at the Fairgrounds, the Murals in the MLK North district, and the very famous pink hotel: the Don CeSar.
One of my favorite places in Florida because I grew up going to Summer camp here, and now it’s one of my favorite destinations for a quick getaway. This is a place I love to go to rest, eat amazing food, get some shopping going at the Aventura Mall, and hanging out at the beach. I would highly recommend it for a couple getaway that is all about connecting with each other.
When people think about the Florida Keys, they usually think about Key West. But there is so much more to them than Key West -even though you should also make the drive there-. Only an hour away from South Florida, we find Key Largo, an ocean lover’s heaven. Key Largo is packed with wild life and it is a known destination for sport fishing, scuba diving, water sports, and romantic getaways.
