Giving Tuesday: Southwest Florida Local Non-Profits to Check Out

Today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement to help people and organizations transform their communities! This year hit non-for-profit organizations harder than ever. Services were heavily demanded and a lot of funding was cut off because of the pandemic. Take time today to get to know some of your local organizations, learn how they give back to our community, and how you can give back to them.

The best ways you can help is by donating directly on their sites. But, if money is not an option right now, make sure to give them some social media love and help them spread awareness to their causes.

Here are 11 local nonprofit organizations making big impact in the community:

  1. Brighter Bites

Disclaimer: I work for them. During the beginning of the pandemic, we distributed more than 300,000 pounds of fresh produce to families around Southwest Florida.

2. Gulf Coast Humane Society
No-kill, animal welfare organization.

3. Alliance For The Arts
