Season is right around the corner, and if you are not familiar with Southwest Florida’s season, it is when all the snowbirds get here. All the temporary residents come back from up north to escape the cold and soak in the Florida sun. Naples, Florida is located in the Gulf of Mexico and is part of Collier County, the richest county in the state. Many snowbirds decide to spend their winters here not only because of the weather, but also because the city offers entertainment, shopping, and great dining options. 

Things to do

The beauty of Florida is that outdoor activities are possible year round, and indoor activities are everywhere to be found. Here are some of the main things you can’t miss in Naples: 

1. Naples Botanical Garden
   It’s a beautiful 170- acres paradise in the middle of Naples. They have plants from all over the world and a delicious café to have lunch after you walk around.

2. Off The Hook Comedy Club
This comedy club in Naples is a local favorite, it draws in from up and coming artists to big ticket names. They’ve had amazing comedians, including Chico Bean, Corey Holcomb, Jamie Kennedy, and Kevin Nealon. 

3. The Beach
The Gulf Coast beaches are beautiful and when in Naples, you can’t miss the Naples Pier and Vanderbilt Beach.

Where to Eat

Naples is known for the diverse foods you can find. These are my top three places for a great and fun dinners: 

1. Twisted Sheep Pizza
   My recommendation is to get the French Onion Mac N Cheese, which is completely scrumptious. My favorite pizza is the Backyard Hipster, with roast chicken, potato salad, and craft beer bbq. 

2. La Oaxaquena
This is my top spot for authentic Mexican food when in Naples. My recommendation is to get the gorditas.

3. Hyde N Chic
A small place with big flavors. The whole experience is out of this world, from the delicious food, the friendly staff, to the great personality Chef Andy Hyde brings to the table. The menu depends on the season, but so far everything I’ve tried is great.

Where to start your morning 

We all know that a strong morning can set the mood for a strong rest of your day. These are three spots that are perfect to start the day with cute shops and great drinks. 
1. Juicelation
They offer organic cold pressed juices that they handcraft every day. Super fresh and tasty! My picks: Meaty greens juice and OJ’s Got Away.

2. Kunjani Coffee
They lift Naples with love, coffee, and art! This is such a cute and intimate spot, that coffee tastes even better here!

3. Narrative Coffee Roasters
This is another local favorite and they are the place to be if you want to work, study, have a meeting, or just be seen.
